Innovative recipes from Fire House Chef Kipp Rix. Using coffee to infuse new flavors into your meals.

Fire House Cuisine will produce 6 cooking shows that will highlight recipes from Fire Chef Kipp Rix. Kipp’s recipes will utilize coffee as a main ingredient for flavoring. Shows and recipes for the shows will include, Coffee Smoked Ham, Coffee House Rib Tips, Spiced Coffee Encrusted Brisket, Coffee Infused Smoked Turkey, Coffee BBQ Sauce Chicken Thighs and Fire House Café Kabob. Kipp has been in the fire service for 18 years as both a volunteer and career fire fighter in the state of New Mexico. Kipp’s cooking articles and other episodes of Fire House Cuisine are distributed via the Fire Engineering magazine and Fire Life web site.

Fire House Cuisine’s mission and goal is to bring innovative and easy to cook recipes to fire fighters everywhere. Fire fighters work hard and place their life on the line daily to help the public they serve, my goal is to offer them great meal options so they do not get stuck eating the same old thing all the time just because it’s an easy fix. Kipp’s recipes are designed to where the crew can prep the meal, start cooking the meal and if the alarm sounds the fire fighters can come back to the station to a meal that was no ruined because they had to go to work. Your support will allow us to film the shows and get these great recipes out to the hard working men and ladies of the fire service.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Filming outside has always been my biggest challenge, seems that every time I set a day to film the weather, usually winds, chooses to visit us. I have dealt with most issues by moving filming to another day or just find the lull in the “storm” and move on. We are building an indoor set where we can film the shows and though I will still try and film as often as I can outside, it will be nice to have the set for those times when we cannot work with Mother Nature.
