Our  project objective is the development, completion and publication of a book of interesting facts and experiences dealing with the 1840's mountian man rendezvous experience. The funds raised will go toward expenses involved in research and publication of a chronicle of experiences of the participants.  Follow our progress as we  attend events to gather a wide variety of different prospectives of the activities and the areas they are held.  Some of these events date back to the pre-1840's original sites. Colorful photos and indepth interviews with some real out of the hills characters.

From settng up shelter,cooking a meal,competitions of shooting, hawk and knife to the campfire songs and passing of the jug, we'll take a look at what makes the rendezvous experience so addictive.  Particiapants use only pediod correct clothing and accoutroments to fully the experience what it may have been like at the coming together of the furtrappers, traders and indians to trade their bounty of the winter. Traditional weaving, blacksmithing,hat making  and coopersmithing are but a few of the arts we intend to share with our readers. Clothing,shelter,utensils,music, will all be addressed. Many colorful photos will be included along with,maps,flyers,lyrics popular of the day.

This is not just the completion of a book, but an adventure where you can join in and follow along on the journey. The more pledges we recieve the bigger and better the project experience will be for everyone.  Open sky is the limit.
