A book about free societies and how they can be based on a fundamental principle that provides freedom and security for all.
I am finishing a book titled Freedom's Way: The Principle of Equal Freedom and Noncoercive Government. It is about how a clearly defined principle can be the foundation of a free society. It is a serious view of a free society following the principle of people living their lives as they wish while extending that same freedom to others. There are no such societies on Earth at this time.
This is a timely book as the world is being rocked by uprisings and revolutions against tyranny. What if 1 or 2 of them resulted in real freedom for people? What would it take for that to happen? While the first part of the book describes the nature of free societies, the last part discusses how to make it happen.
The first chapter can be seen at http://www.quarkweb.com/foyle/. I will put up a PDF and Kindle version in the near future for downloading.
This has been a 7-year writing and research project. The second draft has been completed at about 100,000 words. It will probably need to go through a couple more drafts before it is ready to go to a professional editor and production.
All 13 of 13 literary agents I contacted were not interested in a book of this nature, so it will be published by my own publishing house, which unfortunately has no working capital. (It doesn't have any employees either--you probably get the idea.)
The funds raised here will be used for the costs of editing, ISBN codes, printing, and marketing. They will also help with my living expenses while getting the book out the door.
The plan is to produce good quality trade books ( full size 6" x 9" soft cover) with approximately 300 pages. The goal is to begin deliveries in the third quarter. I would like to have some hard cover books produced, but the project funding would have to go well beyond the stated goal.
Whatever level of support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Have a question? If the info above doesn't help, you can ask the project creator directly.
